The Fortress Resort and Spa

Hey guys! Happy New Year. As most of us my year also started with a list of resolutions that I won’t be able to keep up to. One of them is indefinitely to post more on the blog. I won’t lie I’ve been very careless with the way I’ve handled my page. I’ve lost my data more than twice last year. So basically more than posting, I need to start taking care of my baby.

So as most of you would know 2018 has been a year full of firsts. Especially when it came to my travels. It gives me so much joy in writing that I was able to an international trip with The Wanderous Tribe in the month of November. To be able to be hosted by such magnificent properties with the most stunning views was definitely a first for all of us. Since so many of you have been curious about the hotels and resorts we stayed at, today I am writing about the most loved property from my vacation in Sri Lanka- The Fortress Resort and Spa.

The resort was situated in the middle of Galle and Mirrissa  in a beautiful town called Koggala. What I loved most about the place was the location, if you are looking for something untouched and plan on spending most of your time at the property. This place was just that. With the infinity pool overlooking the beach I doubt you will find yourself anywhere else. We were given a beautiful bungalow which was overlooking the sea. Trust me, it was pretty much the best view to wake up to. We were also given our very own butler who helped us through the property. Inside our rooms was a very plush jacuzzi with toiletries from Bvlgari(no complaints there :p) and an in-house smart tv which had over 400 movies to browse from. There’s nothing better than ending the day with a classic rom-com after a long day of shooting. The food at the resort was just spectacular, with me personally enjoying their local food there was something for everyone. The resort made sure that their menu is globally appealing which to me was a point up. Like a said, you wouldn’t want to leave the property. The spa was my highlight area there. I loved how majestic and personal they kept their spa area. Perfect for some downtime with my girls. So one of my dear friends who also is the CO-founder of the Wanderous Tribe had her 26th birthday there. The hotel staff went out of their way to make sure we have a gala time on her birthday eve. The energy of the hotel was so harmonious that even though we had long hours of shooting  it felt like a vacation. I would highly recommend this place to lovers, families or just a group of girlfriends to come here enjoy the ambience, drink some great cocktails, enjoy the peace and make memories that would last forever.

Happy kids ready to kickstart the day at The Fortress
Starting my day with a wholesome meal
This Nasi Goreng was life
It’s all in the details
Some me time at the spa
Our view every morning
Always ready to catch a good sunset
Pool time
Trust in their staff to get you the best drinks
conversations and coffee with my fav Pupul
Taking it all in one day at a time
Getting lost in picturesque corners of the property
Lounging hour
